Growing up in the American South I often felt like an outsider as a queer woman. I struggled to understand myself or connect with others, and I felt lost and alone in my emotional experience. But, moving to Chicago for college and finding a therapist, then finding a good therapist, changed my life entirely for the better. Starting therapy offered me the opportunity to really sit with my emotions and gave me the gift of learning how to not only parent my inner child, but to truly befriend her.

Starting therapy inspired me to become a therapist myself, and I feel grateful for this choice every day. It is such a spectacular gift to learn about my clients, to be trusted with their most challenging inner experiences, and to witness the growth that each person is uniquely capable of.

In my work I am passionate about promoting accessibility to gender affirming care, identity exploration, and de-centering capitalism. In session I intend on providing a safe space to explore childhood trauma, relationship issues, and intrusive thoughts. Together, we'll work to understand how your life experiences have shaped you and how to create a stronger sense of safety internally.

If you were one of my clients, you'd experience a therapeutic space that's safe, where you are heard and respected. My approach is integrative, drawing from IFS, person-centered, and psychodynamic modalities, and tailored to each of my client's respective needs. Your inner world is unique, therapy should reflect that!

I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling from Northwestern University in Evanston. I am specialized in working with children and adolescents, and I’m certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

I am able to meet you where you are, tend to shameful memories or experiences, and help you navigate your own internal and external worlds. If you are looking to grow, create connections, and understand yourself more clearly, I encourage you to reach out and see if we are a good fit with a complimentary initial consultation.
